This is the early prototype of game 'Letters - a written adventure', which was made in 2017 to test game mechanic.

The Players takes on the role of Sarah, who reminisces her friendship with her longtime pen pal, Sasha. By navigating Sarah through her old letters, players learn more about the two and change the course of their friendship. Since Sarah likes to draw, all her letters are full of drawings which block the player’s way. If the pictures are combined with words from the text, they will change and let the players pass.

Living Books is a series of interactive read-along adventures aimed at children aged 3–9. Created by Mark Schlichting, the series was mostly developed by Living Books for CD-ROM and published by Broderbund for Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. Doorways: Old Prototype is a short game created before the development of Doorways: Prelude, the first episode in the Doorways saga. This version was built between late 2011 and early 2012. It’s an early prototype made to show the main features of the game. This is the universal binary Mac OS X version of Fire Line, that.should. run on all most recent Mac systems. I have not tested it myself (because I don’t have a Mac), but I’m going put my trust in the Unity 3D project compiler and builder (at least this time, don’t ask about all the Mono Develop related script compilation crashes). The name is derived from the first three letters of dungeon and the last three letters of Arpanet. It was first written in Maclisp for the DECSYSTEM-20, then ported to Emacs Lisp in 1992. Since 1994 the game has shipped with GNU Emacs; it also has been included with XEmacs.

This game is simply amazing. I love how you can rearrange the words to affect the drawings in the letters and how the adjectives can be used to change the drawing’s appearance. Also, I liked reading the letters between Sarah and Sasha as it reminded me of when I was writing to my pen-pal during my childhood. 10 / 10

This is a really innovative little adventure! It's not perfect by any means, as there's a lot of constraints and somewhat arbitrary progression, but it's a solid start! Detailed feed back at the end of the vid!
